Made sundials in class. Tested solar cells and solar lab. Solar Maximum and solar minimum...ice age and ancient archeo-astronomy. Made sun prints. Discussed what makes seasons here on earth? Homework: Please draw your concept on paper of seasons. Interaction of the sun with the earth. Due Tuesday.
Made compass in class and did magnetism packet. Watched video on how electromagnets are used at theme parks.

Today students took the chapter 1 test. Then I presented the three elements off the periodic table of elements. Iron = Fe, Nickel = Ni, and Cobalt = Co. I also showed that some items are magnetic and others are not.

Assignments: Do Chapter Review p 22-23 and study for test on Thursday. Yes, you may use your Science Notebook for the Chapter 1 Test. We went over three handouts in class today and added them to the Science Notebook. Remember to glue the pages into your Notebooks.
